1. launch EViews9SV. In the Welcome window, select Student Version (NOT Lite!), click OK. In the Registration window, enter:

Click on “Register now” button. With Little Snitch or similar, deny forever a connection to register1.eviews.com on port 80 (http) (The same would hold for register2.eviews.com).

In the Unable to Register window, click Exit. In the next window (EViews Registration), enter the above Serial # again, then select “Key obtained by phone …”, and copy and paste:

JRZW7R-M3WUTA-RP9D4K-ZYGEB9-AQJBQZ-R4PX2E

Click the “Register now” button and you’re good.

2. You can allow all other internet connections.

3. Do not update.

4. Info: the license is stored in (root) > Library > Application Support > IHS > EViews Student Version > 9.00.000 >. If you have to start fresh, simply delete license.txt
