Our business generates terabytes of data every day. We have a team of 150+ Engineers and Analysts dedicated to creating tools and techniques to parse this information and find meaning; we’d like to complement their efforts by bringing in a Machine Learning Engineer. Your first major task will be optimizing our existing bid floor algorithm. This is one of the many ways we help our Publishers get the maximum value for their ad spaces and we want to make it smarter and better using a deep learning approach.
Long-term you’ll be looking at how we approach data extraction and isolation as well as the big-picture look for the tools we build to interpret that information. You’ll be reporting directly into our VP, Architecture and working closely with both Engineering and Business units to achieve your objectives. Your job is part Engineer, part Statistician and wholly unique in our organization.
You will:
• Pioneer our approach for creating new frameworks and methods for collecting data
• Develop and improve algorithms to optimize for effective bid floor strategies
• Collaborate with our Analyst team to mine huge data sets, access the right information and guide them on best practices for how to interpret that information
• Be the company-leader in developing innovative and unique algorithmic approaches
• Make our data useful
You have:
• A B.Sc in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Math or Stats
• Intermediate to expert programming skills in a few core languages - you are part of a dev team and need to be able to talk shop (we’re agnostic on this point but relevant tools include Python, Scala, Go, C++, Java, etc.)
• A solid grasp of deep learning numerical modelling including architecture and algorithms on top of optimization techniques for classification and prediction
• Experience with MATLAB, R and any other relevant tools for statistical analysis
• A combined interest/passion in Ad Tech and Data Science - you stay up on the latest trends and innovations
• A fierce spirit of competition and a burning desire to make things more efficient
