The Chair ofInternational Macroeconomics and Policy invites applications for apart-time PhD position (50%). The Research and Teaching Assistantposition is available 1 January 2010. Employment is initially limitedto three years. Successful candidates have their contracts extended foranother year. The salary is according to the German public servicescale (TV-L E13).
The position involves theteaching of tutorials as well as the supervision of students inseminars. Additionally, the candidates are expected to develop a recordof research, which enables them to receive a doctorate/PhD.
Applicants should hold aUniversity degree in Economics at the master’s level with outstandinggrades and a strong background in macroeconomics, finance andeconometrics. Preference is given to candidates that have successfullycompleted the first year courses of a PhD program. Knowledge of theGerman language is advantageous but not required. Applicants shouldalready have a permission to work in the EU.
