We are now offering the opportunity for students to earn aGraduate Certificate in the field of Big Data as part of a Master's degree inInformation Science Technology. The master degree requires 30 credit hours, or10 courses.

Big Data is an emerging phenomenon. Computing systems todayare generating 15 petabytes of new information everyday and about 80% of thedata generated every day is textual and unstructured data. Data analyticsfacilitates realization of objectives by identifying trends, creatingpredictive models for forecasting and optimizing business processes forenhanced performance.

For this program, students will take four MS-IST corecourses, and can apply four of their six elective courses to earn a GraduateCertificate in Business Analytics Data Science.
