Following areexcerpts from my Graduate Statistics I and GraduateStatistics II notes.  These pages highlight the use ofStata for various problems.  In many cases, the handout is just a"Stata how to." If you want an explanation of the underlyingstatistical principles, you should go back to the complete course notes andlook at the related handouts.  In other cases, the handout will alsoexplain the statistical principles and provide SPSS examples, but you caneasily skip to the Stata examples if that is all you are interested in Other course notes, homeworks and exams contain additional examples of Statausage that may be of interest.  Some readers may also want to look at thenotes from my course on CategoricalData Analysis.  Also, my gologit2 and oglm (OrdinalGeneralized Linear Models) programs may be of interest to those working withordinal dependent variables.

NOTE: Some of these notes use programs listed inmy Suggested Downloads, which you may want toinstall for yourself.  Notre Dame users (especially those who work in thepublic labs) should check out my Suggestions for Using Stata at Notre Dame.
