This week we look at M&A in the insurance sector.
Material insurance M&A is likely to be muted in 2010, in
our view, due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the
impact of the Solvency 2 rules, financial market volatility
and the ongoing high cost of capital. This is despite low
market valuations and stronger Solvency 1 capital.
