Thanks dear Oldpeter, it's an essential reference for all economists.
To all members, please read his last book with Wallis and Weingast published in 2009 in a deap search on the origins of institutional development and institutional underdevelopment of nations. It's a great historical explanation based on the concepts of "natural state" and "social orders".
The professor North invite us to relearn economics on the basis of what we can't explain and not on the basis of economic lesons fully documentaed by the dominant theoritical paradigm.
Thanks
