Why we use Mathtype with Office 2010?
One of the new feature of the version office14 is that it contains the option insert equation and it works better than mathtype.

What if most editors and periodical offices reviewers don not use office 2010, so that formulas written with office 2010 owned editor can not be displayed normally in their computers?

I dont have a precise information about this problem, but what i know is that i have used manu conference presentations and i used this application with my student projects without any problem.
