Abstract: This paper aims to assess the impactoffinancialcrisison China's railway. On the basis of seasonal and trend analysisonrailway transportation and investment it is shown that, even though the financialcrisis reduces the turnover, it makes a great deal of contribution to the investment onrailway. Then a macro-analysison China's railway's lifecycle is conducted to predict its possible lifecycle curve, followed by the fuzzy recognition, where a membership function is established for obtaining its current lifecycle stage. According to this paper, in general term, the financialcrisis has promoted the development of China's railway and has accelerated its transition from the growth stage to the maturity stage.(8 refs.)
