Irrigation is becoming more and more important to the economy of the state of Nebraska. As we irrigate more acres of land, we frequently turn to groundwater for new sources of water. Groundwater like any natural resource needs proper management to produce the maximum benefits over a long period of time, However it also has its own characteristics as a natural resource which make for its own unique management problems.
