Four alternative solutions of a national linear programming model are unes in the analysis. Results indicate that 1) at normal demand levels total returns would decrease but at high levels of export total land rent would increase, 2) more dryland would be used and returns per acre would be higher, 3) returns per irrigated acre would decrease, 4) the North Central Region would become more dominant both in proportion of cropland and total returns.
