We expect most solar PV companies to report strong 2Q10 results, in line with
raised or potentially ahead of prior guidance, as demand in Germany has remained
very strong. We estimate module ASPs declined modestly q/q on a US$ basis due
to a weaker Euro, and we believe coverage companies shifted business to both
module sales (e.g., First Solar) and systems in Italy (e.g., SunPower) to take
advantage of regional strength. This should drive improved q/q margins for most
companies.
