Product Marketing Manager, Consumer - Beijing or Shanghai
This position is based in Beijing or Shanghai, China.

The Google marketing team is responsible for marketing the company's exceptional product portfolio to end users, partners and customers on a worldwide basis. The role: Product Marketing Manager, Consumer
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will work with the the corporate marketing group, sales, and product teams to support and drive projects. You'll also develop a world-class marketing team through mentorship, recruitment and team-building activities. Additionally, you will work closely with Google's Sales, Product and Partnerships teams to build Google's business in a fast, start-up like environment. You bring an entrepreneurial spirit, preferably with experience in a fast, startup-like environment, and you'll have a significant opportunity to grow within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Sponsor and co-lead product research that offers penetrating insights into the needs and wants of local consumers and customers
- Identify product gap where as a company we fail or could do a better job to better satisfy end users and customers
- Work with the Product, Engineering, Business Development and Sales Teams to translate the user needs and wants into product requirements
- Work to drive long term product roadmap along with the Product Management and Engineering Teams
- Advocate for China’s product requirements to the executive management team
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree with strong academic background or equivalent experience (higher level degree a plus). MBA strongly preferred.
- Degree in marketing, psychology, computer science, math or another related subject is preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in developing product and/or product marketing plans based on deep consumer insights
- Native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and fluent in English
- Online marketing and/or product management experience a strong plus
- Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market
- Proven ability to recommend appropriate consumer marketing research and distill from raw research data key consumer insights
