Welcome to Professor Xiao-Ping Zheng
Xiao-Ping Zheng is a professor in the Faculty of Economics, Ritsumeikan University, Japan. He earned a B.Sc. in geography in 1983 from East China Normal University, Shanghai, China, and a Ph.D. in socio-economic planning in 1990 from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. He has been a researcher of Nomura Research Institute, Lit. during 1990-1993. In the period of 1993-2002, he was an assistant professor and then an associate professor of the University of Tsukuba. At present, he is also a visiting professor of Zhejiang University and East China Normal University. Professor Zheng’s research interests include the theoretical, empirical and policy analysis on urban and regional economic systems in China, Japan and elsewhere. His work has appeared in several international academic journals as Environment and Planning A, Journal of Regional Science, Papers in Regional Science, Socio-Economic Planning Science, and Urban Studies. His professional memberships include Applied Regional Science Conference, City Planning Institute of Japan, Japanese Economic Association, Japan Association for Real Estate Sciences, and Regional Science Association International.

郑教授,见过两次。在藤田的workshop上见的,就是发表:Tokyo Is Too Large, and
Fujita先生对他的印象也不错。但是好像因为郑不是和Fujita出生同一学校,而且也不是搞的理论研究,所以好像还是有一定的距离,没有曾道志和Fujita的关系深。因为,曾是搞理论并且是京都大学出生的。而且,曾在世界顶尖的杂志上发表过几篇不错的论文。
