The AR Supervisor provides supervisory support and team leadership to AR Accountants, and is responsible for the following: collections, assessment of client’s creditability, reporting, internal control, and treasury related special projects.
Relationships:
Reports to the Geomarket Treasurer.
4 direct reports of AR Accountants.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
* Monthly collection report and collection forecast for next month.
* Analyze variances against DSO/DIR plan and recommend actions.
* Coordinate with AR/DSO officer team and operations for collection; report any major issues related to collection.
* Prepare assessment of client’s creditability.
* Other special projects.
* Supervises and mentors AR Accountants and DSO Officers. Responsible for the supervision of the staff; supervision will include daily review of work being performed by these parties as well as formal periodic assessments and goal setting for these parties.
* Ensures that activities within area of responsibility are properly authorized and recorded and are completed in a timely manner.
* Assist and support with internal and external audits.
* Complies with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures.
Previous Experience and Competencies:
Finance or Accounting Degree
Competencies to be kept current:
3-5 years in a financial role.
* Prefer candidates with experience in big-4 CPA firms.
