Harmonized nighttime light (Harmonized NTL)
Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP)
Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS)
This dataset temporally extends DMSP NTL dataset by harmonizing the inter-calibrated NTL
observations from the DMSP data and the simulated DMSP-like NTL observations from VIIRS data.
The generated DMSP NTL time-series data show consistent temporal trends. More details about
the methods and technical validation can be found in the related paper (Li et al., 2020).
