During a war, food and clothing are rationed. In addition to a money price, a certain number of ration points must be paid to obtain a good. Each consumer has an allocation of ration points which may be used to purchase either good and also has a fixed money income. Suppose the money income of a consumer is raised and he buys more food and less clothing, it follows that clothing is an inferior good.
I suppose it is false, because, during the war, although the food is important , only according this case is not enough to say the clothing being an inferior good.Maybe the utility of clothing is less than food.
