International Space Station

The International Space Station (ISS) is a habitable(可居住）, artificial（人造） satellite in Earth orbit. The ISS serves as a research laboratory（研究试验室） that in many fields including biology, physics, astronomy, geography and so on.
In September 1993, American Vice-President Al Gore, Jr., and Russian Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin plans for a new space station, which became the International Space Station.
