Actually, I doubt that this product would produce a significant contribution to Google's stock price and Merrill has degraded the stock rating of Google because of the leaked QE3 financial statement.

Based on the chrome OS I think the chromebook only plays a role of complement of home computer, the huge functional bias connecting to the Internet or not makes me uncomfortable based on the cloud service.

At this point, choosing Microsoft Surface is a wise choice in my opinion.

It cannot be regarded as a good move. Still,  it's a must move. Nowadays  the combination of software and hardware is the high way. Sink or swim is not such important any more.

Google needs to invest for more growth points, but I am not familiar to digital products. I like Google for searching!
