依靠关系这种手段的情况,估计每个行业都会存在,并且与饱和度问题没有一些直接的关系吧。
如果依LZ之见, ...
demand and supply theory is not something new
particularly, you even don't need an actuarial degree in order to get into the actuarial field
for data back up my point
Supply:
each year, more than 300 students graduated from Waterloo
there are more than 13 universities in Canada offering actuarial program
Total new graduates should be more than 1000 per year
Most of them can not find an actuarial job
Demand:
Less than 40 entry level student are hired in Canada every year
Example:
There was an entry-level opening in my team. And we received more than 60 resumes, including a few post-doctors, PHD. For an entry-level actuarial student, we usually pay $50K (Bachelor) - $60K (master or PHD).
If you were in an accounting major, your chance being hired is near 85% though the starting salary is only around $40K.
As a potential actuarial student, you can tell the return on investment.
