The Role
As an entry level associate within Risk Consulting & Software (RCS) you will be responsible for providing assistance in the management of projects within the RCS team.
Performance Objectives: Clients
n Deliver tasks that meet or exceed client expectation
n Increase efficiency within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes
n Monitor progress to deadlines and budget
Excellence
n Assist with financial reporting (appraisal/embedded value, China GAAP, China Statutory)
n Assist with product development
n Assist with market entry, Merger and Acquisition and insurance company restructurings projects
n Assist with business planning and strategy projects
People
n Build strong relationships internally and with client representatives
n Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
n Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities/maintain steady progress through exams
Financial
n Meet billable hours targets
The Requirements
n Bachelor’s degree (or Master Degree)or above in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or numerate related fields
n Undertaking an approved international actuarial qualification and be part way through the exams
n Written and spoken fluency in English and Chinese
n Strong actuarial and technical analytical skills
n Able to work independently as well as contribute effectively as a team player
n Attention to detail and commitment to task
n Well organised, able to handle a variety of assignments and meet tight deadlines
n Strong computer/programming skills (i.e. spreadsheets, databases, VBA)
