Job summary:
The Finance Coordinator will act as a WPMI (Shanghai) point of contact for corporate financial matters in China and Coordinate and support various enterprise projects as assigned by the President&CEO or his or her delegate.
1. Serve as the liaison to the Finance outsourcing vendors wellpoint corp Finance and MBU Finance including the review of invoices to be paid or transactions to be recorded
2. Assist Kong Zhong Human Resources Director with coordinating ongoing employee salary reports and payroll administration functions with Finance and Human Resources vendors
3. Assist with corporate financial data and information gathering and analysis and the preparation of internal and external reports m coordination with WellPoint Finance compile and prepare report, grahs, and charts of kang zhong financial data as requested
4. Serve as a liaison with finance outsourced vendor to assist with the month end close process
5. Assist with the review of the monthly financial statements which could include Profit&Loss
Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flaw Statements.
6. Prepare financial and business-related analyses, and research financial and expense performance on outsourced services. Assist the evaluation, selection, and negotiation of vendors.
7. Assist with preparing budgets, forecasts, and trend analysis as requested
8. Assist in the preparation, review and compliance with company's corporate policies and procedures, including expense reimbursement, contract and invoice authorizations. Chop policy, and other financial transactions.
9. Demonstrate and support advancement of the company's values in all aspects of work, including ethical conduct integrity, respect, collaborative teamwork and service excellence
10. Special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Familiarity and experience with general accounting principles and disciplines
3. Bilingual verbal and written communication skills (Mandarin Chinese and English).
4. strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
6. Ability to gather and analyze multiple data points in order to form factual and accurate assessments and conclus
7. detail oriented with the ability to recognize issues and develop corrective action plans.
8. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multiple tasks simultaneously,
9. Advance skills in Microsoft Office applications and or /web based documentation tools.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance
2. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant certification
3. Prior experience in China payroll reporting and administrative functions.
4. Working knowledge of Chinese GAAP, internal controls and data processing concepts
5. General insurance industry knowledge: health care/insurance industry experience.
6. Prior professional experience in using an automated computer processing system.
