Zhong'an's shareholders include top e-commerce company Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., the world's second-largest insurer Ping An Insurance (Group) Co., and the country's largest Internet firm Tencent Holdings Ltd. Top leaders of the three shareholders are Ma Yun, founder of Alibaba, Ma Huateng, CEO of Tencent, and Ma Mingzhe, Chairman of Pingan Insurance. Hence, people call it “Three Ma” insurance.
