投资顾问是一个很有艺术性的工作。但从工作上讲就是拉客户来证券公司开户炒股，然后收公司的用尽提成。至于未来什么样子，看个人的水平，这个跟卖保险一样，不是人做的，是人才做的。
现在的投资顾问其实不能称之为顾问，现在偏向于销售。未来做到一定程度，有了经验和知名度才有机会成为真正的顾问。

就是证券公司为找市场人员而 美其名曰 的一个名称  很多人看看顾问  啊，事实就上是拉客户资金的

The above is quite right.

There are two types of elements: research analyst role and sales role.

The former is a professional role, which needs certain knowledge and skills of industrial and economics.
Company does research and uses it to persuade customers to get its service ( buy securities from it), because it is hard to sell a research regardless it is useful or not,  and therefore, eventually analyst help sales. Less reputable companies usually do not have a good research department

FYI, In the United State, research of banking industrial has been banned to solicit sales because of conflict of interest.

The second one (sales) is obvious. Usually, sales are conducted by no experience (new graduates with general academic background), led by highly experienced people . When you have a consultant title, it is most likely sales job. Sales job as you may know are good for certain people who believe who can move fast in career, is judged by revenue brought in, and is not an easy job. If you can stay in 3 years and not a superstar yet, you might as doing the same as you do at beginning but more used to it. If that is case, you need to think about your next step: stay there, go back to school (for an MBA?) or another company (better move up).
