The Milliman Shanghai office provides consulting servicesto a broad array of clients in the Property & Casualty and Health fields. Weare looking for an entry-level actuarial student. This position providesexcellent opportunities for professional development and advancement.
This position is open not only to actuarial students, butalso those studying for a degree with a high quantitative and analyticalcontent (e.g. mathematics, statistics, operational research, risk management,engineering, etc).
The candidate should have excellent analytical,communication, time management and organizational skills.
We provide extensive on-the-job training in consultingskills and advanced actuarial techniques.
The role
The Milliman Shanghai office providesconsulting services to a broad array of clients in the Property & Casualtyand Health fields. We are seeking tofill actuarial intern positions. These intakes are open not only to actuarialstudents, but also those studying for a degree with a high quantitative andanalytical content (e.g. mathematics, statistics, operational research, riskmanagement, engineering, etc).
You can expect to work with the leadingactuarial P&C consulting firm in China, and help P&C insurancecompanies and governments in the region to find solutions to insuranceproblems.
We are looking for bright, enthusiastic,hard-working and highly motivated candidates. The position requires creativeactuarial capabilities, good communication and interpersonal skills, andorganizational talents.

Job responsibilities
- Client interaction including data collection, project updates andanswering basic technical questions
- Creative problem-solving using spreadsheets, databases, and otherresources to synthesize and analyze data and information
- Understanding, operating, and modifying complex spreadsheet tools
- Presenting results to peers, project managers, and client relationshipmanagers
- Drafting written reports and preparing other external/internalcorrespondence
- Preparing and documenting project files
- Assisting with research and marketing projects
