Kirk Borne目前担任博思艾伦（Booz Allen Hamilton）公司的高级数据科学家。他不仅仅是一名数据科学家，而且还是一名天体物理学家和空间科学家（Astrophysicist and Space Scientist）。在2014年被评为IBM大数据与分析英雄。他还在Ted Talk中开设了“大数据，小世界”（Big Data，Small World）课程。除了任职于博思艾伦，他还是很多其它公司的顾问委员会成员。他在加州理工学院（California Institute of Technology）获得了天体物理学博士学位。
