　　Determinants of households’equity ownership：Retail investors are leaving the stock market.In this report，we look at why this is and compare Korea with other OECD nations to predict whether that will change.Our comparison looks specifically at：1）the portion of population aged 50-69；2）the share of wage earners in total employment；3）household financial assets-to-GDP ratios；and 4）dividend yields.Many studies have lumped direct and indirect equity ownership together，but we separate them，defining the former as“household purchases of equities and mutual funds”and the latter as “investments made through pensions or insurers.”
