有一个研究的步骤可供参考:
第零步：研读(study)与讨论(discuss)
第一步：认知可能的问题是什么(Recognize possible problem)
第二步：搜集资料，对问题范围做大略观察，并且设法叙述(Collect information, observe, and describe)
第三步：澄清问题，将问题分成小问题(Clarify problem, divide into sub-problem)
第四步：设定假设(Hypothesize)
第五步：概念演绎、关系预测，以及设计实验方式(Deduce consequence, make predictions and design experiments)
第六步：实验进行、数据分析、进行每一个假设的测试(Experiment, analyze results, test hypothesis)
第七步：发展理论，然后将它出版，公诸于世(Develop theory, publish result)
