       Barry Eichengreen，男，1952年1月出生，1979年6月毕业于耶鲁大学并获经济学博士学位。现任美国加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校George C. Pardee和Helen N. Pardee讲座教授，兼任美国艺术与科学学院院士、美国国民经济研究局研究员、英国经济政策研究中心研究员、德国基尔世界经济研究中心国际研究员、世界经济论坛资本流动日程委员会会员、欧洲研究DAAD杰出奖学金评选委员会成员、亚洲开发银行顾问、韩国银行特别顾问、美国国际经济研究所咨询顾问等。

　　Barry Eichengreen教授是当今国际学术界最活跃、最富影响力的著名经济学家之一。他曾主持美国国家科学基金项目、法国银行研究项目、伯克利-法国基金项目、福特基金、德国马歇尔基金等数十项科研课题；他的学术成果（论文、研究报告、评论）多达400余项，其中被SSCI收录论文142篇，被引用近千次。他是国际经济政策历史（宏观经济史的分支）的奠基人，其《黄金镣铐：金本位和大萧条》（牛津大学出版社，1992）一书已成为国际上研究1929-33年“大萧条”的最经典之作。他是国际货币体系演变史研究的奠基人之一，也是欧洲货币一体化、货币危机、金融危机等研究领域的顶尖学者。
