 Our monthly Resource Play Spotlight is intended to highlight key developments within North
American resource plays, with a concentrated focus on the Canadian plays. The primary objective of
this periodical is to keep investors abreast of new developments and production data (as soon as they
become available), and cut through the noise to elaborate on the most relevant focal points.
 The focus of this month’s Resource Play Spotlight is to introduce our updated/expanded oil
resource play maps. As always, we have also provided updated well results, economics, and player
activity in Appendix 1 of our report. Updated maps featured in our January Spotlight include the
following plays: Bakken, Pine Creek – Cardium (new area), Pembina/Willesden Green – Cardium
(expanded), Garrington – Cardium (expanded), Hoadley Area (highlighting Cardium, Glauconite, and
Viking potential), Lower Shaunavon, Seal, and Viking.
