英国《每日邮报》十一日报导说，住在英格兰林肯郡斯波耳丁市的米歇儿．菲波兹每天一觉醒来，枕边人都得说服她，两人是夫妻。当她表现怀疑时，菲波兹先生就去拿相簿，给她看两人在一九九七年（十三年前）的结婚照。

米歇儿得使用数以百计的便利贴及手机日历的记事提醒功能，帮助自己记得每天的行程与要做的事。她做过的事或见过的人，都必须记录下来，以便日后参考用。当她偶尔离家出外游玩时，还必须携带输入住家地址的卫星导航系统。

剑桥大学神经科学家耐斯特说，米歇儿罹患的是罕见的顺向失忆症（或前行性失忆症）。不过，这对她也有一些好处，譬如没有电视节目回放的困扰，每一则笑话也都很好笑，因为每次都是第一次听到。她目前担任慈善团体志工，每周有三天照顾残障人士。
