我没有做出来,后来去问老师,老师说我思路不对,但不告诉我答案让我自己想,我想了半天,根本抓不到。麻烦大虾们了~~~
题目:
1. Sid 有一份固定工资的工作,他可以选择每周工作的时间长短。除此以外,他没有别的收入。画图描述他如何决定自己每周工作多少小时?
(sid works at a fixed wage rate, and can choose how many hours to work in a week. he has no other source of income. on a carefully drawn diagram show how he will decide on the number of hours to work)

上图是预算线,至于sid具体会如何决定取决于偏好。无差异曲线与预算线相交的地方就是他会选择的最佳点。(这个图,老师说是对的。)

2.Millie决定提供Sid一份新的高工资的工作,但是sid需要为此给millie一份钱。画图描述millie可能需要的钱的最大数。运用消费者理论来描述这个最大化问题。
(millie come along and offers sid a new job which pays a higher wage rate, but only on condition that he pays her a fixed sum of money. draw a new diagram to show the maximum sum of money that millie would be able to demand. in the light of your knowledge of consumer theory how would you describe this maximum amount?)
这个就不知道怎么弄了,画了好几次都觉得不对劲。

3. 实际上millie需要的钱比上题中你画的图要少,所以sid接受了millie的新工作。 是否可以肯定的说这份新工作会让sid决定工作更多小时或是更少?使用替代与收入效应来回答。
(actually the sum of money millie demands is less than the maximum you illustrated in part (b), and so he accepts her offer. is it possible to say for certain whether sid will work more or less hours in his new job?you must use income and substitution effects in answering this question.)
我懂替代和收入效应,但第一句话我搞不懂为什么会有因果关系耶。

我怕自己翻译的不够好,所以贴出原文,希望有好人可以回答。

1. It's the tangent point of the utility indifference curve and budget line;

2. Based on the plot in (1), which I assume you have drawn already, the new budget line would be steeper, and it would rotate around the intercept point and shift down to leisure axis. i.e. Hicksian demand is applied here. You can look up in any microeconomics textbooks, say MWG, or Varian. The max amount of the money that Sid would like to pay, has to make sure the Sid's new utility is no less than the utility before.

3. The income and substitution effects, as two opposing forces, would lead to difference results. In this case, Sid's new offer is a bit like a pay rise. But whether he/she would do more work or not, depends on which of the two effects are stronger.

理论毕竟是理论, 实际要看 Millie 个人当时的经济状况,她的工作心态,情绪,健康状况,交通情况,等等等因素。 所以你可以告诉你导师,这种题目很无聊啊

谢谢,但我不太懂。第2题是联系的消费者理论的哪个方面啊?我觉得第2题的图,X和Y轴不再是leisure和money了吧?感觉上应该换成income和consumption。而且图要画的是millie需求的钱不是sid愿意提供的钱。millie是女生,sid是男生噢。

pls read the Ch2 and Ch3 of the textbook, by MWG.......before going ahead ....
