Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business will offer an MS in Global Finance (MSGF) to BiMBA students and alumni who have successfully completed the MBA degree. It will allow students who have completed this degree within five years prior to registration to transfer up to 12 credits from the MBA towards the Fordham MSGF degree. Six additional courses will be required to obtain the Fordham MSGF degree. Of those six courses, one will be delivered in China at BiMBA and five will be taught in New York at Fordham. Degrees will be conferred in New York. The six additional courses necessary to complete the MSGF degree are outlined below. Please note these courses are subject to final confirmation.
Armed with an expertise in general management from their MBA, students of MSGF will also acquire the ability to implement corporate goals through financial strategies that use the opportunities available in today’s global financial markets. In addition they will have the unique advantage of receiving a Masters degree from a well-known American University in addition to their MBA degree. Alumni who wish to continue their studies to complete a MS in Global Finance will be required to complete the following courses to be held in Beijing and New York:

Tuition for this program is US$ 9,000.00, not including travel and living expenses.
Fordham will offer five courses in New York over a four-week period in July, 2010.
The one course to be offered in China will be held on an extended week-end schedule in 2010 prior to the study in New York.

1) Who are eligible for this program?
All BiMBA graduates who have successfully completed their MBA degrees within five years prior to the registration for this program are eligible. Those BiMBA EMBA graduates who have successfully completed their EMBA degrees within five years prior to the registration are also eligible but their admissions to the program may be subject to an additional English language test to be organized by BiMBA.
BiMBA graduates who have successfully completed their MBA degrees over 5 years prior to the registration for this program will be considered and evaluated by the admission committee on a case by case basis. 2) Is there a limit on the class size?
The maximum class size will be 30. Applications will be processed on a first come first served basis. 3) How do we apply?

All application materials should be in English. 4) When do we apply?
The first deadline of application will be Dec. 15, 2009. The evaluation of the first batch of applications will be done and the approval letters will be sent out by Dec. 30, 2009.
The second deadline of application will be Jan. 15, 2010. The evaluation of the second batch of applications will be done and the approval letters will be sent out by Jan. 30, 2010.
The third and the last deadline of application will be Feb. 10, 2010. The evaluation of the last batch of applications will be done and the approval letters will be sent out by Feb. 28, 2010.
5) When will the program start and what will the course schedule be like?
The first course of the program to be offered in Beijing will start prior to the study of the rest 5 courses of the program in New York which will be the last week of June and all of July, 2010, five weeks in all. It will be one course per week (30 hours total per week). Some company and cultural visits will be integrated into the 5 weeks. The exact date of the first course will be advised at a later date. Most probably, it will be offered on four or five consecutive weekends in March/April, 2010. 6) Where do we stay during the study in New York?
Fordham has made special arrangements for the students taking this program to stay at the students' dormitory either on their main Rosehill campus or Lincoln Center campus. 7) How much does the on campus accommodation cost?
The rates for staying at the students' dormitory are around US$ 80.00 per single room per day or US$ 65.00 per person per day if two students share a room. 8) How do we travel from where we stay to where we study?
Dorms will be on Rosehill campus. Courses will be delivered on Lincoln Center campus. There will be a Ram Van arranged for our students for the courses at Lincoln Center. 9) Does the tuition fee include textbooks and other course materials, e.g. cases?
The tuition fee of US$ 9,000.00 does not include the cost of the textbooks and/or any other course materials including cases. 10) What will the cost of textbooks and course materials be?
Textbook expenses will be approximately USD 100 per course on average. 11) What kind of visa do we apply for and for how long?
Fordham will issue an I-20 for each student and this will give you an F1 visa which would allow you to come up to one month before the study in NY begins and up to two months after the study in NY ends. 12) Can students' spouses apply for F2 visa at the same time when the students apply for F1 visa?
Yes. 13) Are the students required to buy any insurance to study in NY? How much? The current insurance for April through Aug. is USD $454. Fordham will be looking into the possibility of renegotiating this amount to cover a shorter period of time. 14) Is there any scholarship available? How will the scholarship be granted? Yes. Scholarship will be granted based on the following three criteria: merit, need and time of application.
