讲解

Jump 就是“跳起来”的那个 jump，gun 表示“枪”，这里的 jump the gun 一开始是用在运动比赛里，还没发枪，运动员就起跑了，所以这个词组有“抢跑”的意思。比如说：有几个运动员抢跑了，就是：Several racers jumped the gun.

那这个词组慢慢的也有引申意思，就表示“太快行动，草率行事”，或者说“言之过早”，to do something too soon, before you should do it. 比如：现在网络上经常有各种爆料，但是在官方通告出来之前，其实我们都不要草率行事，Don't jump the gun, or let's not jump the gun here.

发音

这里我们要注意 gun 这个单词的发音，很多同学会读成“刚”，jump the gang，但这不标准，单词元音应该是^, ^, ga，加上末尾的 n，gun，类似的单词还有娱乐，fun，小面包，bun，太阳，sun，再来一遍，gun，fun，bun，sun.
