I am the inaugural coordinator for this section and I would like to share with folks what I know about Public policy analysis, which intends to leads to the idenfication of more interesting and specific policy problems.

One of the most widely used approach in policy design and analysis is evidence-based approach, borrowed from Medical science and clinic practice. I was invited to gave a series of guest lectures to some senior policy officers from the State Council on good practices of policy decision making in the West in early 2012. The evidence-based approach is one of my favouriate topics and thus included in the package.

I have attached numerous references, some of which are my notes and some are policy papers. The main objective are four-foleded:
１．　To introduce evidence-based policy making
2.        To intrigue discussions around the evidence -based approach
3.        To identify the gap between the policy analysis practice in China comparing with the advanced economies
4.        To develop case studies and good practices from extant literature and practice.
