《我的工作原则》，发表于 American Economist 杂志1996年第1期,是一篇随笔似的小文章。

曼昆教授在此文中把他工作的“经验原则”总结为六点：

3. Have Broad Interests;
4. Allocate Time and Crew;
5. Write Well;
6. Have Fun.

在文章最后一部分，作者揭示了“[T]he secret to a happy life: find out what you like to do, and then find someone who will pay you to do it.”
