抨击了古典经济学的政策无效论

古典经济学认为市场长期终究会回到均衡，主张ZF不用干预；但是凯恩期认为长期能回到均衡是没有意义的，即“长期人都会死亡”，因此主张ZF对短期经济波动进行干预，经济学家要帮助ZF制定经济政策，以解决短期经济问题。

凯恩斯强调政策调控，强调短期的作用。虽然说自由主义下会自动回到均衡，但是“长期中大家都挂掉了”，所以这个回到均衡也没用。。
