China Steel Sector: An export tax hike favoring large mills (Total 6 pages)

China's Minitry of Finance announced that effective from January 1, 2008, export tax is to increase to 25% from 15% on semis and to 15% from 10% on long products. Meanwhile, export tax on most HR products stays at 5% while for most CR products and seamless pipe the export rebate remain unchanged at 5% and 13%, respectively.
