China’s semi & finished steel export rose by 7%MoM to 1.67mt, below 24%MoM
increase in import to 1.73mt in March. This is the first time since Dec 2005 that
China turned into a net importer. As we highlighted earlier, Chinese mills have
been losing its cost advantage and market share to CIS peers in global market.
March marks an end to an era featured with fear of flooding exports from China......
