Beijing, China (4E) – China’s deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, Wang Min, said in a statement on Tuesday that Iran should already settle a deal with the six world powers regarding the nuclear issue.
Wang pointed out that Iran should already seize the window of opportunity being presented to them and solve the deal via diplomatic negotiations before the end of the month, which is the set date for the deal to be met. Wang spoke before the Council meeting of the 1737 Committee, the group tasked in monitoring the sanctions against Iran.
Wang pointed out that China believes the sanctions are not to affect the deal because if the agreement is to be reached before the end of the month, it will benefit all parties involved in the long run. Wang also called on the 1737 Committee saying that the Panel should fulfill their duties in order to contribute to a faster negotiation and solution regarding the issue at hand.
Wang added that the Iran nuclear issue being solved will be safeguarding the international nuclear non-proliferation system and assure peace and tranquility in one part of the Middle East. The six world powers talking with Iran regarding the nuclear deal include China, France, Germany, Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Aside from that, Wang also called on the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA ) to continue their support in resolving the Iran nuclear deal issue.
