Well, I am still regretting my decision to go to my postgraduate program. I spent way too much time on reading novels and short stories, since I was a student of English literature. Frankly you do not need to read too much, unless you want to become a researcher some day. What is more important, as I have learnt from my one-year legal study in the UK, is to know what you want to do instead of what you are expected to do. Without a clear understanding about your future job-wise decision, you will find yourself reading too much garbage imposed on you by your Chinese professors.
Hopefully this is useful to you. You are still young and can afford to make some mistakes. Not anymore when you are in your middle age.
