MISSIONS
In the field of mechanical components of engines and gearboxes, the Validation Engineer is responsible for all functional validation activities of the powertrain control system. In particular, his missions include :
1. Ensuring efficient synergy with other validation departments regarding global test coverage.
2. Planning optimal usage of the test rigs.
3. Ensuring optimal efficiency of the tests by way of :
- choosing the right test support (HIL test bench, engine bench, vehicle bench)
- applying automatic testing whenever possible
- writing and updating the testplans whenever necessary
4. Minimizing the time needed for in-vehicle calibration through systematic pre-calibration by simulation.
5. Mastering the integration of the system control especially for multi-ECUs systems (engine, gear-box, hybrid supervisor).
