如何确定效用函数

看帖的各位好！



本人博士菜鸟一枚，正在焦头烂额的建模中。现在不知道如何选择（或者构建）合适的效用函数。现在想构建的效用函数：两种产品替代关系，得出的需求函数最好比较好求消费者剩余。其中Cobb-Douglus不适用。



求高人指点：
1.如何选用合适的效用函数，或者选用时应该考虑哪些因素？
or
2. 哪些书里有比较详尽的，对不同效用函数进行比较的。我现在手里有范里安的两本书。

不是经济学出身，建模的时候捉急的很，劳烦各位了！！！！

谢谢你的回复！ 实验数据拟合我明白，但是根据经验。。。我还是很捉急。觉得自己好像应该整个系统补一下才能获得这样的经验～～ 有没有什么提高经验的方法？谢谢！！！

you can't integrate area between CD utility function and price level to get consumer surplus, after all, CD funcition has no intercept with axis. so perhaps you may try other function, such as CES and so on. good luck!

Thanks for your reply!!!! It helps a lot!!

I also did not consider about CD. Since in CD function, a typical consumer spends a certain amount money on each type of products.  Now, I am considering CES...... Hope I can get good result~~

i suggest you to see Krugman's works. He mainly bases his on specification of CES utility function.
