中科院地理资源所农业地理与乡村发展研究创新团队，结合主持完成国家自然科学基金项目、中国科学院知识创新工程项目、国家科技部“973”项目课题和“十一五”科技支撑项目课题等任务，注重发挥地理学学科优势，围绕城乡转型期农业资源与环境、土地利用类型与结构、乡村经济与社会格局变化及其效应，面向国家战略需求和学科发展要求，坚持深入开展问题导向的典型区域调查、团队科研和国际合作，在乡村地域系统演进与新农村建设模式、快速城镇化驱动的土地利用变化及对乡村可持续性影响、农村空心化与农村宅基地转型基础理论、农业结构战略性调整中水土资源转换（旱改水）格局与效应、遥感与GIS技术支持的生态脆弱区耕地质量评价与土地利用优化配置等方面，取得了重要的研究进展和成果。

该创新团队注重及时总结阶段性研究成果，近年来在国际社会科学类高影响因子（>2.0）的学术期刊上发表论文7篇。其中，《Applied Geography》（SSCI；2009IF: 2.324）上发表2篇、《Land Use Policy》（SSCI；2009IF: 2.355）上发表3篇、《Journal of Environmental Management》（SCI/SSCI；2009IF: 2.367）上发表2篇。目前在ISI-Web of Science上有引用记录的4篇论文被引用64次，其中单篇最高被引用32次。
